Looking over the Genesis account and particularly at Chapter 2 verse 24, I find myself pondering why did God create marriage? It is amazing how many cilivation are control and destroyed over marriages. How the morality of a country can be brought to ruin over marriages. Even more disturbing how the church can split and be divided over marriages. The very thing that God meant for good that He insituted is infected with a disease. This disease is sin. Yet we won't call it that, no. What we call it is selfishness on the other side, pride, lust, fell out of love, not the same person, etc... Do we really have the freedom to choose to separate what God brings together?
Since God formed man from the dust of the ground (gen. 2:7) and then took a rib of man to make woman and brought her to him, it imply by context from the Scriptures a couple of things. First, God created man to be a functional being to be relational and alive. Second, woman was made from man's design which means they are equal as a created being before God. Third, made also means built or fashion together. Created for a unique design purpose as a living being. Fourth, woman was brought to man as a partner and supporter to the man. Fifth, they are to be in unity in worship to God.
Therefore, through these quick thoughts and realizing that this is not exhausted, which many have written on before me, I bring forth these thoughts to our generation today for the very purpose of that marriage was never design for self but for God.
In return through our obeidence to God in our marriage we recieve many blessings of gifts.
